A series of sound works and recordings in which sound artists work with the listening act in existential finitude situations.
The money raised will go directly to the artists (50%) and also to end of life care organizations (50%).

A series of sound works and recordings in which sound artists work with the listening act in existential finitude situations.

The artists were asked to create a sound work that can be heard by a person in existential finitude (in a relatively short period of time) or a sound work to be heard while someone dies or a sound work that the artists themselves would like to listen to while they die.

Often, death is thought of - or imagined - as ascension; a metaphor, perhaps.
This ascension, a movement, I imagine it as release, relief and an encounter - maybe the final one - with a connective web.
Nothing makes us more human animals than the inescapable ending of the body. From pain to acceptance to surrender, maybe all in one.
A connection to ending but also eternity and outwards transformation.
And we all leave a trace.
